ABOUT BRUCE

As a 22-year resident of Addison, like many of our residents, I didn't understand how special it was to live in Addison until after I arrived. After I was here for about five years, a couple of friends told me about the Citizens Academy that was coming up and suggested I might want to participate. Following that excellent advice, I signed up and that was the beginning of my involvement in Addison and began to seek out opportunities to serve. Here is some of that history.
Examples of where I was able to engage my community include six years on the Addison City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Charter Review Commission (twice), Bond Advisory Committee. Along the way I participated in Leadership Metrocrest and Leadership North Texas (both outstanding programs!), WaterTower Theatre board member (be sure and become a subscriber), and have been a member of the Addison Midday Rotary Club since 2006. My parents raised my two sisters and me with a heart for service and at this time I am ready to serve Addison as the next mayor, with a focus on public safety, code enforcement, and continuing to improve the business-friendly environment in Addison. We have much work to do moving forward and it will take the commitment and hard work from the City Council in partnership with the Town leadership and the amazing staff to accomplish that work.

In addition to serving my community as much as possible, I am running my residential real estate business, which I have been doing for 30 years. I am truly grateful to be able to be of service to my wonderful clients over these many years.

My sweet Chocolate Lab named Coco is my constant companion and lovable sidekick.
